MEET BRITTANY

Founder of Haume Studio

I started dancing at the age of three and was always active in gymnastics or cheerleading.   In college, I discovered yoga in gym class.  There was a great similarity in many of the poses and stretches... only this time they had meaning!

Overtime, yoga became an integral part of my life, something I could do at home to wind down, socialize with friends, or escape to a country yoga retreat and decompress.  In 2015, I went through some big life changes and began to dive deeper into meditation and a more spiritual side of the yoga practice, deepening my love for the practice even more.

I am beyond excited to have gone through a teacher training and to be able to share what I have learned and my passion with others.  I hope that everyone knows they can do yoga, all they need is the want to try.

The more I teach yoga, the more I see the effect it has on the body both for my students and myself.  I cured my own hip bursitis with myofascial release.  I was able to take myself off of arthritis meds within six months.  I've been able to use meditation and breathing to curb anxiety.   This has led me down a path of fascination with anatomy and what our bodies can do, if we only knew the right way to use them ... and this is the foundation of my classes.

In 2021, I finally went all in and started “Haume Studio.”  This is something I had been thinking about for a while and the timing was finally right.  With Haume Studio, I hope to show others they CAN do yoga if they want.  I aim to help others improve their daily lives all in the comfort of their home or in a welcoming home-like environment. At Haume Studio, we believe in beginner friendly yoga for all ages and offer classes with detailed instruction based in anatomy and breathwork.  We look forward to welcoming you to a class soon!

HAUME STUDIO'S MISSION

Aum - one of the most sacred spiritual symbols, “aum” or “om” has many different meanings throughout history.  It refers to the self within.  It has also been said that if “all the sounds of the universe blended together, it would create the sound of “aum” and therefore can be taken to mean unity, oneness.

Home - is a safe haven and a comfort zone. A place to live with our families and pets and enjoy with friends.  A place where you feel included.  A familiar or usual setting.

Haume Studio is your online sanctuary for at home yoga and meditation practice.  Founded heavily on anatomy based vinyasa yoga practice and breathe work.  Haume studio strives to help you find ease in your yoga practice, with comprehensive instruction, encouragement to move at your own pace and an aim to feel comforted and an improved mental and physical state after practice. I hope to show others they can do yoga, all they need is the want to try.
